Rights, Clearances, and Indemnification

• Grant of Rights: You grant BFF all necessary rights to screen the Entry for our jury and festival attendees. Additionally, you grant BFF the right to use frame grabs, audio/visual excerpts, cast and crew photographs, behind-the-scenes images, film posters, and any other existing marketing materials in our online and printed promotional campaigns.
• Authority & Clearances: You confirm that you possess the full legal right and authority to submit the Entry to BFF and to grant the aforementioned rights. You also confirm that submitting this Entry does not put you in breach of any existing contractual obligations.
• Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold BFF harmless from and against any and all present or future claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including, but not limited to, legal fees and court costs) arising from issues involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, exhibition, or the loss of/damage to the submitted screening materials.

Deliverables for Selected Films

In the event that your Entry is shortlisted for screening or nominated for an award, you must provide a high-quality, digital projectable copy of the full-length film. This file must have a minimum resolution of Full HD (1080p), be in one of our accepted formats, and be delivered to the Festival at least 7 business days prior to the BFF Opening Day.

Eligibility & Content Restrictions

Please review these guidelines carefully to ensure your film is eligible. BFF does NOT accept Entries that contain any of the following:

• Pornographic material.
• Threats directed at an individual, a group of people, a legally established entity, or a specific location.
• Material that glorifies terrorism, violence (including self-harm), or racism.
• Any content that breaches applicable English laws.

Submission Fees

The BFF jury dedicates a significant amount of time and resources to properly consider and review your Entry. Because of this submission fees are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances. (All in GBP)

What Happens After Submission?

• Jury Review: The Festival's jury will review all film entries successfully submitted before this deadline.
• Nominees & Winners: The festival will email you in case your film is nominated or won so you and your team will have the opportunity to participate in the festival day. The awards will be presented to the winners in person on the award day. You may request the award to be posted to you (for a fee).
• Winner Announcements: BFF will announce the official list of winners on the "Winners" page of the Festival's website.
• Late Submissions: Any film submitted after the official deadline will automatically be entered into the following year's competition.
• Festival Office Hours: Please note that the Festival office is closed from December 15th to February 1st every year.

Awards and Recognition

We celebrate creativity at every stage of the process. It is highly important that you provide us with your correct postal address during submission so we can send your physical materials:

• Winners: Winners awards will be presented to them in person on the festival day if the winners present (see tickets). BFF will post winner certificates directly to your provided address via a selected international courier on demand. The winners are responsible to pay the shipping fees.
• Nominees: All shortlisted films and nominees will receive an Official Selection certificate.
• Participants: All valid submissions will receive an Authenticated Participant badge to recognize your contribution and hard work.
