Synopsis

Gareth hangs out with his friends at the regular spot on a block filled with culture of predominantly Black Caribbean community. He is being questioned about his belonging in the crowd by one of the olders who due to Gareth’s white skin does not trust him to be a genuine addition to the community. The group leaves the place avoiding unnecessary confrontation. However as Gareth gets home, he is then confronted by his racist uncle Mickey, who does not believe that his nephew can make true friends outside of his race. Frustrated and disappointed, Gareth leaves the house to meet his friends amongst who is his love interest: Sandra, a beautiful black woman who has been Gareth’s closest friend for a while. As the two are getting closer together, they are being interrupted by two racists who verbally abuse the couple. Surprisingly, the person coming to the rescue is… uncle Mickey. Does seeing the treatment his nephew and his friend received change his attitude? Where does that leave Gareth?
